DPAC has some very exciting news!!!
We are launching our very first adult ballet class on Thursday, November 3rd.
When you think of ballet you probably think of little girls in tutus and tights but it really is so much more than that. Ballet is a highly structured style of dance requiring focus and strength. Ballet requires a lot from the body but it also gives so much in return. Over time, muscles begin to strengthen throughout the body improving posture and balance. The slow and controlled movements enhance coordination and stability. Brain function also improves as dancers focus on the combinations they are taught and put to practice the critiques they are given.
This class is designed for all levels of students from ages 18 to 118. Whether you took dance as a child, stepped away from it, or never stepped foot into a studio...this class is for you! Whether you know nothing about ballet or are a professional we will be happy to have you in this class! While our focus is strengthening our bodies and learning proper ballet technique we plan to have loads of fun all while being a judgement free zone! We promise that with both barre and center floor activities you'll use muscles you didn't know you had!
